Evansville, IN – (March 2nd, 2012) - Earthcare Energy Chairman Ken Haney, along with Evansville, Indiana Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville (GAGE) President Deborah Dewey and Executives of Vectren Energy, announced today the formation of a unique joint effort that will create jobs in the Community of Evansville, allow for the production of clean, efficient energy for the Greater Community and support the development of an innovative technology hub with the establishment of Earthcare Energy’s first assembly plant in the United States. Earthcare’s site selection evaluation was a long and arduous process that resulted in choosing Evansville, IN given the local Government and Economic Development Teams steadfast and prudent approach during negotiations. “This would not be possible without the dedication and diligence of Mayor Winnecke, and the support of both GAGE and Vectren Energy” said Ken Haney. Another important factor is the regions rich history in manufacturing which provides a skilled local workforce and the means to distribute Earthcare’s technology throughout North America and beyond. “We are proud to bring American manufacturing jobs back to the Community and skilled workforce of Evansville” said Ken Haney, Chairman of Earthcare.
Vectren Energy’s participation in the effort involves the evaluation and deployment of Earthcare’s technology as it seeks more efficient energy solutions for Evansville and the many Communities they serve. Vectren’s involvement in the effort has also played a critical role in the final decision to establish the Evansville site.
